V-Cast Expands into Central Harlem

Verizon Wireless has expanded its coverage to serve Central Harlem better with one of four new cell sites, along Lenox, Seventh and Eighth avenues between W. 129th and W. 123rd streets.

“Verizon Wireless invested $2 billion to enhance its New York Metro area network and more than $30 billion across the nation in the past six years to stay ahead of the growing demand for the company’s voice and data services, like two-way text messaging, picture messaging and V CAST service which brings TV, music and other multimedia services to wireless phones over the company’s high-speed broadband wireless network.”

That’s strange, cause I’ve always had perfect Verizon service in Harlem. I don’t have one of those new V-Cast phones though, so maybe that service isn’t too hot right now.
