Columbia and the issue of Gentrification

On September 25, 2006 by D. Bell

Nellie Bailey of WHCR’s Harlem Real Estate Review radio program, was a speaker at a lecture series hosted on the Columbia campus concerning the rapid gentrification of Harlem. Bailey, who is also the Director of the Harlem Tenant’s Council, predicts that:

The Columbia Spectator also attended the annual Anti-gentrification Street Festival.

One Response to “Columbia and the issue of Gentrification”

  • The Columbia article only had one small sentence at the end that gives a ‘how’ to solve these problems. I hope that it’s just bad journalism on Columbia’s part, because I’d like to think that Ms. Bailey has some concrete ideas.
