The people who regularly listen to my segment on Sugatreats every Monday night remember that I mentioned this place a couple of weeks back. A friend and I dropped in one night after a program at the new HarlemStage Gatehouse . The place went by a different name and functioned as both a bar and bistro. We happened to go in the same week that they were in the process of changing to Coyote Ugly Agly which now operates exclusively as a bar.

    This is a funny little addition to my neighborhood. This is not Coyote Ugly, but Coyote Agly. I’m pretty certain they would have incurred the wrathe of the litigation gods otherwise. The place itself is pretty lively with wednesday nights featuring poetry and spoke word performances from local and not-so-local people. The girls are cute and frriedly as they should be.If you run a search on google you’ll see a myspace page that was removed for some reason but if you click “cache” you can see what was there to begin with.
