The Funk Patrol

funk.gifFinally some relief for riders of the A/B/C/D line who have to pass through 125th Street. Over the past few weeks the relentless funk emanating from the station has been absolutely unbearable. I have personally gagged a couple of times as the train pulled into the station. Some days it smells like raw sewage and others like old dead fish and rats. I personally feel it is an atrocity not only to the passengers but also to the agents and other staff that have to work at that station. CBS investigated and hopefully there will be a noticeable improvement.

Have you smelled the funk at 125th Street? How did you deal with it?

    We’ve stopped taking the A train all together. it smells like a dead body is chillin up in there for the Halloween season. It’s totally unbareable.

    The smell in the station was never bad in the morning, but in the evening God Bless ya! I had called 311 about the smell, but there must be someone who works for CBS who lives in the area…cause no other media outlet discussed the smell that had been going on for 2 months.
