Neighborhood Stroll

While jaunting around the neighborhood I noticed a couple of new businesses sprouting up. For fans of La Marmite they are expanding and opening La Marmite Too over on 7th Avenue between 133rd and 134th Streets. So far just a sign announcing the opening.

A couple blocks over on 8th Avenue and 135th is a new cafe called Cafe Lia. They have a nice space reminiscence of the downtown cafes with lots of periodicals scattered around, different seating options and free wi-fi. I ordered a slice of triple mousse cake to go. The counter girl wasn’t very friendly which is a bad sign that could ultimately affect their future success in that location. As far as the cake, it was very dry when it should have been moist and creamy. Apparently their specialty is fresh croissants. If anyone tries them let us know how they tasted.
