I live closer to Convent, am just now starting to think about buying, and would love to stay in the neighborhood. No offense, but IMO west of Amsterdam in the 140s is like . . . whoa! I never figured anybody would want to pay half a million bucks to live across the street from Hamilton Palace. I'd love to hear more about your decision to buy. Same guys who did Schaeffer Landing in Brooklyn. Price is as cheap as they come anywhere in Manhattan, and several units were sold just recently after several months of no sales. We have been jaded by news articles that every thing north of 125th, north, south east and west is designated as Harlem. The original boundaries of Harlem was and still is 110th to 155th st from river to river and the boundary from 110th west was Morningside Park. That area is known as Hamilton Heights an has been known as that for a long time.
