Preservationists have been waiting for decades for the Corn Exchange to get its long overdue facelift. “If something happens with this building, we’ll be dancing in the street in front of it,” says Landmarks Conservancy President Peg Green.

    It is hard to renovate buildings that are classified as Landmarks because you must adhere to special rules from the Landmarks Commission.

    This is an old picture, it now has had scaffolding on facade for some time now, indicating some activity?

    Most recently sporting blue tarps on top.

    Great architecture, could be great addition to 125th St.
