Regina Carter Quintet

at 7:00 PMA classically trained violinist, Detroit-born Regina Carter makes music that knows no boundaries. Carter, who began playing the piano at the age of two, picked up the violin at the tender age of four. Instead of learning to play by reading music, Regina Carter learned by listening. This ability taught her the art of improvisation.
Spelman Jazz Ensemble

at 7:00 PMOrganized in 1983 by Founder and Director Joe Jennings, the Spelman Jazz Ensemble has a devout following. The Ensemble is made up of vocalists, instrumentalists and a rhythm section. After 15 years of touring and three albums, Spelman Jazz Ensemble is still going strong.
