Rescue Me’s annual pilgrimage to Harlem

Update: The signs have been taken down. Wonder if someone complained about the obvious traffic issues that will result or if the location manager finally figured out that a building under construction, a school house and a real fire station in close proximity makes the location not so great for getting a reasonable response to “quiet on the set!”
It seems that it is becoming an annual event for FX Network’s television show “Rescue Me” to shoot scenes up in Harlem. It was around this time last year that Harlem Fur spotted the signs on his block. Now it seems they have decided to bring the crew a bit farther uptown and will be shooting on 144th Street between 7th and 8th. Not sure if it is the combination of the Countee Cullen school and adjoining playground, Marge’s Red Rose diner or the firehouse across the park on 143rd but just be warned, if you live in the area this coming Thursday Harlem will become little Hollywood from early morning to after 11 p.m. Not sure how they worked out the logistics with the school but it will surely be exciting for the kids.Related: HF :: WATPA :: Rescue Me [official site]
