A tipster slid this one into the box yesterday. What does this building have to do with celebrities, cosmetics and architects? Follow the links to connect the dots. If nothing else, this building has an interesting story to tell.

The Beaumont, a 63 unit art deco apartment building that sits on Riverside Drive, just sold for a little over $20 million dollars. Located at 730 Riverside Drive between 149th and 150th, the building is a 1912 architectural gem designed by Blum & Blum. Famous residents of the once elegant building include Marian Anderson and Ralph Ellison. The building was last sold in 1982 and the restoratation of the ornate lobby was overseen by Harrison Ford’s make up artist.

I was unable to find any pictures of this building online so if a reader out there has any please submit them to the pool.

    1912 is not Art Deco.
