Can I Be Me? ?

A dramatised reading telling the story of one woman’s

journey spanning two continents; Europe and Africa. She’s journalist, author,

addict. High on the need for applause and approval. Witness to her mother

getting shot at. On assignment in London and to the new South Africa. As

an addict; she’s breaking her fix by sharing her truth. As a journalist; her

assignment compromises her spirit and the price is her soul. Can she have

success in mainstream media without compromise? Who had she become?

Drama, racism, self-realisation, and a myriad of characters, black and white;

male and female all appear on her road. They force her to question them,

challenge herself and finally remind her what she was looking for, she always

had. Experience a show about the challenges we all face when we take a

long, hard look in the mirror – and decide to reveal the truth of who we are.
