Unconfirmed Rumors: Dallas in Harlem?
Since we’ve had pretty good luck so far with our reader tips, I thought I would throw this out to get your reactions.
A tipster in the Copeland’s thread has spilled the beans that Pier 2110 will be the new home of cheap chicken, BBQ ribs super sized cocktails and baked beans:
An insider actually informed me that Pier 2110 will reopen as Dallas BBQ, which IMO would be a cash cow.
I’ll have to agree with the commenter that a Dallas BBQ would make a killing in that location. I’m also with another commenter hoping that the space will be the home to another “upscale-ish” establishment since Mrs. Parks did a nice job with the decor of P2110. Although Dallas does offer a selection of okay-ish salad selections and a few veggie side dishes, the majority of the menu is loaded with very tempting heart clogging unhealthy choices.
The closest Dallas BBQ is presently in Washington Heights at 166th and Broadway.

I agree wholeheartedly. Of all the things that Harlem needs, it needs better restaurant choices the absolute most. There’s not even a close second. They keep building all these new condo’s but where are people gonna eat? Why do we always have to go to Morningside to get a variety of choices?
Why is it that many people in Harlem seem to be satified with restaurants that serve only soul food, which everyone knows can lead to obesity, diabetes and heart disease. It would really be nice to have choices when we go out to dinner. There are many Harlem residents who have traveled and have had exposure to different cuisines and would wish not to travel downtown for other choices when they go out to eat.
We need more healthy food options in Harlem.
perfect fit, I will be there often, only went to pier 2110 once
