Weekend Guide: Old movies, giving blood, and dancing

- The Casa Frela Gallery is showing two classics this weekend: Lena Horne’s Stormy Weather and the silent 20s picture Body & Soul.
- There are a couple of blood drives happening uptown: the Harriet Tubman Block Association is staging one tomorrow, August 11, from 1-6:30 p.m. The Washington Heights Seventh Day Adventist Church will be holding theirs on Sunday, August 12, from 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m. More info here.
- Dance Theatre of Harlem will present its Annual Street Festival 2007 on Saturday, August 11th at 12:00-7:00 p.m., on Dance Theatre of Harlem Way, West 152nd Street, between Amsterdam and St. Nicholas Avenues.
- Saturday at 2:30 p.m.: An Afternoon of Dominican Folk and Modern Merengue at the NYPL’s George Bruce Branch.
