  • ” Really interesting piece on the Harlem River High Bridge.”

There has been talk about rehabbing High Bridge sing the Dinkins Days. Dinking even set aside funds to put the Chimes/Bells back into the water tower after it was rebuilt from the fire.
In 2006 and 2007 the city gave the Bx Boro President 20 thousand dollars to rehab the Bronx side of the bridge and the park, it also gave the Community Board of Washington Heights 20 thousand dollars to rehab the Manhattan side of the bridge and park. As of today nothing has happened. What happened to the Money?
Rehabbing High Bridge has become a Pork Barrel money is given and nothing happens!
I hope this time will be different and we can walk across the Bridge next summer.
