Charlie Parker Jazz Festival

The 15th Annual Charlie Parker Jazz Festival is happening this weekend at Marcus Garvey Park and Tompkins Square Park. Both shows feature performances by Abbey Lincoln and Chico Hamilton, while Saturday’s uptown show will also feature Marc Cary and Lezlie Harrison.

Saturday and Sunday, August 24th and 25th
Festivities start at 3:00 p.m.
Marcus Garvey Park and Tompkins Square Park

    I’m so glad this is going on. If I had the money I would fly to NYC and listen to the music, which I know is going to be excellent. I hope this tradition continues for many years to come. Cheers!
