Tutors and Rowing Coaches Wanted

ROWING COACHES NEEDED
Stay in touch with rowing while you’re in NYC!

Row New York, a non-profit junior rowing club based in Flushing, Queens seeks part-time and volunteer coaches for this coming fall season. Practices begin at 4:15pm on weekdays. Applicants may work as many as six and as little as one day per week. The fall novice season begins on September 28 and runs 6-8 weeks. The boathouse is easily accessible via the 7 train or by car.

Competitive rowing experience required.

TUTORS NEEDED
Volunteer to make a difference!Academic tutors needed!Row New York seeks volunteer tutors to give our student-athletes help with schoolwork, college prep, and college applications. Our academic program supplements participants’ public school educations with extra academic assistance, emphasizing preparation for the SAT. The Row New York girls do hard work on the water to achieve greatness and a chance to row at the collegiate level — we need good tutors to help them do hard work in the classroom as well! Row New York is seeking:

  • Volunteer tutors to assist seniors with college applications on Mondays from 4-6 PM through December.
  • A paid Math/Science tutor on Mondays from 4-7PM (this position runs through the school year).
  • A paid tutor to facilitate our Friday drop-in tutoring sessions from 3-6PM for our learn-to-row girls through December.

Row New York’s office is located in Long Island City and is easily reached by the 7/E/G/V trains
