Know any young people between the ages of 16 and 21 with leadership potential and a sincere interest in politics, Hip-Hop, and/or organizing? Would they be interested in working for the coolest cats in town? Well G.A.ME is hiring for its R.E.B.E.L program.

On Thursday November 1, 2007 5PM-6PM @ G.A.ME HQ’s, we will be having our last round of interviews for Intern R.E.B.E.L Organizer positions.

ABOUT
Grassroots Artists MovEment (G.A.ME) is a not-for-profit membership organization designed to address socio-economic issues, particularly in the Black and Brown community utilizing Hip-Hop and the arts. G.A.ME has as its components: R.E.B.E.L (Rallying, Educating & Building Effective Leadership) Program, which develops community leadership and prevents youth incarceration and the G.A.ME HealthCare Network, which battles against health inequities and provides health resources.

G.A.ME is committed to young people leading at the highest levels!

POSITION(S): Intern Youth Organizer

RESPONSIBILITIES: Participating in organizing training as an organizer, typing/writing documents, Internet research, filing, filming, organizing youth & community, participating in lectures as assistants and trainers, and other duties as defined by the Executive Director or administrator

PAID INTENSIVE TRAINING: Consists of leadership and organizing development, lessons in electoral politics, and research and office management

WORK HOURS: 12-28 HOURS, 3-5 DAYS A WEEK, AFTERSCHOOL & WEEKENDS, FLEXIBLE

PAY RATE: $8/HR, TWO-MONTH STIPEND, MUST VOLUNTEER 2 HOURS A WEEK

START DATE: Training begins Saturday November 17, 2007

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:
           -Parental permission if under 18 years of age

           -Recent school report card if applicable. MUST have at least a C or 72% average

           -School advisor and counselor name & phone contact (In a week)
