Chashama (461 West 126th Street) will host Christy Speakman’s Phenomenal Growth exhibit November 8-December 1, 2007. The solo exhibition will feature video, photography and works on paper. Speakman’s work provides a unique perspective about landscapes and the intricacies of everyday objects like drops of oil on a city street. The aftermath of Hurricane Katrina is also the subject of some of the work displayed in Phenomenal Growth.
