Morningside Park Farmer’s Market Is Still Open
Every Saturday, from 9-5pm, there is a farmer’s market outside of Morningside Park at 110th Street and Manhattan Avenue. You only have this Satuday, November 10 and next Saturday, November 17 to catch the farmer’s market before it closes for the winter. The market features baked goods and produce from farms/vendors in the state.
It can be difficult to be “green” in the city, but this is one way to do that. Buying locally grown food cuts down on transportation costs which cuts down on the use of limited natural resources like oil and hence, reduces emissions that contribute to global warming. Plus, you get a good healthy meal!
