Mayor Bloomberg recently joked, “When people think about wildlife in New York City, they’re most likely to think about pigeons and squirrels and the occasional tiger in your next-door neighbor’s apartment. The truth is, our city is teeming with real wildlife, natural wildlife.” He was celebrating Leslie Day’s new book, Field Guide to the Natural World of New York City.  Meet Dr. Day and learn about the diverse, amazing, sometimes-secret nature that thrives all around us.  Books can be purchased and signed, too! Location: The Interchurch Center (475 Riverside Drive at 120th Street; enter at 61 Claremont Avenue)  RSVP: 212-870-3070 or rsvp@riversideparkfund.org
