Harlem Meer Social Hour
Winter Stargazing with the Urban Park Rangers

Tuesday, January 13
6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

FREE! For adults.

Join us for a fresh alternative to the tired old happy hour scene at the Harlem Meer Social Hour, the Central Park Conservancy’s exciting series for adults.

Urban Park Rangers and the Conservancy invite you to an evening of stargazing among the city lights. No, these are not the stars of tabloid fame! This winter evening’s highlights will include the constellations Cassiopeia and Orion, and if we’re lucky, we’ll see the Andromeda Galaxy. Enjoy a breathtaking view of the night’s sky over the Harlem Meer, and learn about the stellar formations and the other celestial bodies above us.

Refreshments are provided and there is plenty of time for mingling. Advance registration not required. FREE. For more information, call 212-860-1370.

This program will happen rain or shine. If inclement weather prevents us from stargazing, our Social Hour will take place wholly in the Dana Discovery Center and will consist of an entertaining and informative presentation by Urban Park Rangers on the winter night’s sky.

Advance registration not required. For more information, please call 212-860-1370 or visit www.centralparknyc.org/socialhour.

This is the last program in the Central Park Conservancy’s series of free family events celebrating the winter holidays. To view the full schedule of Winter Holiday Programs, please visit www.centralparknyc.org/winterholidays.
