This story seem fishy, He is sitting around one night and “buys” himself a ticket. Nice Story.
Do you know that these “bodega” clerks are allowed to skim tickets without purchase to see if they are winners and it’s allowed as errors by the lottery officials. This is why when you purchase a ticket from the clerk, they will give you a ticket that is loose and not from the roll, that ticket is already a loser.
This is why I have second thoughts about how the store clerk happened to get the million dollar ticket.
Be aware of buying scratch offs that does not come directly from the roll at the time of purchase
