A Bicentennial Celebration in Dance Featuring HARBOR CONSERVATORY’S GESTURES DANCE ENSEMBLE Aaron Davis Hall – W. 135th St. & Convent Ave, Campus of City College
A BICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION IN DANCE, sponsored by the Office of Black Ministry of the Archdiocese of New York and LaRoche College (in Pittsburgh), will take place at Aaron Davis Hall (W. 135th St. & Convent Ave., in Manhattan). This exciting evening of Dance (modern & contemporary ballet), in celebration of the Bicentennial of the Archdiocese of New York & 200 Years of Black Catholic Presence & Ministry in the Archdiocese, will feature the LaRoche College Dance Theatre, Gestures Dance Ensemble of the Harbor Conservatory for the Performing Arts in East Harlem and Special Guests Artists. Tickets are priced at $30 & $50 and are available through the Harlem Stage/Aaron Davis Hall Box Office, the Office of Black Ministry or online at www.tickets.com. ALL ARE WELCOME!

The Apollo Theater presents a performance featuring young and emerging artists from the New York City area, Sunday, February 17 at 5 pm. Tickets are priced at $12.00 & $10 for groups of 5 or more. Apollo’s new Family Series, features talented youth from Harlem-based arts ensembles that range from African dance to inspirational music, hip hop, classical strings and a Latin band. These talented pre-professional performers use music, dance, theater and poetry performances to entertain and enlighten — delivering vibrant performances that embody an independence of body and spirit. Represent! A Celebration of Youth, Culture and Community honors the arts and the power of creative self-expression. Featured Ensembles: Batoto Yetu – children’s African dance troupe; JoSunJari – classical music trio of siblings; Harlem Heavenly Notes – An all brass ensemble; Impact Repertory –Inspirational Hip Hop Music & Theatre troupe; Harbor Latin Youth Ensemble – Salsa band from the Harbor Conservatory for the Performing Arts.
