The Harlem Blogscan
While searching for different articles to put into the scoop here on UF I was curious to do a sort of round-up of different blogs regarding Harlem. We don’t formally have any arrangements with these blogs but I was curious to find out what else is “out there”. Call it my own little blog channel surfing. Do you read other Harlem-related blogs regularly? Tell us about them in the comments section.
Harlem Photoblog: Photographer Candice Hoefinger was involved in a year long project and amassed a beautiful collage of Harlem photos.
The Harlem Studio Fellowship: This is a residency program for international artists that provide housing and a studio for the artists to exhibit their work right here in East Harlem. Their next open house is Monda, March 31st. The pieces are features of their new resident artists: Susy Blu, Reuven Israel, and Franceso Tubiolo.
Africlassical Blog: A blog that expounds on african heritage in classical music. Not a Harlem-centered blog but I would have never known there was a Harlem Quartet if it weren’t for this site. Really opens your eyes to some beautiful artists.
Jaunted: This site maps different locations of Oscar nominated movies. “American Gangster” brings Harlem into the spotlight. I was personally going crazy while watching the movie. I was trying to pinpoint where they were shooting the Lucille’s coffeeshop scenes.

The Friends of St. Nicholas Park have a blog which is pretty good with updates about Park events in the area as well as info about the Hamilton Grange move.
