Pregunta Arts Cafe: “Where is this place?”

Yesterday a UF commentor questioned the whereabout of the new Pregunta Arts Cafe:

“1528 Amsterdam is between 135th and 136th across from that big city college building. Is that correct? There’s a like a couple of bodegas, a tire repair shop, and a chinese takeout. I don’t see where this is gonna be. Is it strictly a night spot? I’m confused.”

You are absolutely correct. The location is between the tire shop and grocery store. It used to be office space at one time. I’m curious myself to see how they have set it up. This picture just shows the right side of the place. It looks like a decent size though. Since there is no awning you can’t tell what’s going on when the security gates are down. But when they are up you can se these giant announcement posters. On their website it seems like this place will be open during the day as well. I’ll know more on opening night :)
