Home Depot Pulls Out Across the Country
Last week we wrote about Home Depot and their pull out from the East River location. Well, it seems that this isn’t just a Harlem deal. Home Depot is pulling out of similar deals around the country. This is sad, and the reason why folks need to support small businesses as opposed to waiting for miracles and engaging in wishful thinking.
When chains open and close, it is only a loss of investment for them. When Manhattan Paint Fair closed, it hurt the family. Now, get out there and harass Virgo’s, to upgrade his business; trust me, if enough folks talk to him or complain, whichever is more effective, that stubborn old man (yeah, I can say that) will listen.
And yes, it is a foreshadowing of Harlem’s redevelopment; but Harlem didn’t develop good in the first place.
Noow pull out of Harlem too.
