What’s Up with Club Body in Harlem?

Word is that Shaquille “Shaq” O’Neal celebrated his 36th Birthday in Harlem at a club called Body. Anyone know where the club is located, if they have a website and what it’s like inside?

Yes, it’s a new on 12th Avenue which is becoming a restaurant row in West Harlem. There will be six restaurants by May on 12th Avenue and the West Harlem Piers & Park will also open in late May.
Yes, this will be the premier spot in Harlem…it is located on 12th avenue a few blocks north of fairway…the word is that it is World fusion cuisine and the restaurant will open in May. The lounge is actually open thursday – Sunday.
The real big deal will happen in July when the roof top opens up with lounge chairs and cabanas…yes cabanas. So you can actually watch the sunset and sip marinis..whaaaaat!

The interior was nice. Its very comparable to the venues that are downtown manhattan. I had no problem getting to the bar to order one drink. The bus boys clean up quick so watch your drink if you are saving that last 1 inch of liquor to sip…or they’ll scoop it up….lol…..The music was ok: a bit of everything (salsa, merengue, pop, not sure if I heard hip hop,etc) The DJs still NEED HELP (like at 70% of venues in NYC)….the crowd needs help too..(don’t get me wrong…the women look fine as fine could be…body tight outfits, etc)
Lots of dudes had sunglasses on…lol….whats new?…..But it seemed like they were waiting to take the lead from someone, the environment, the dj, etc……..Anyway, the place has potential..but the music is lacking…and i’m not saying that the djs are wack…its just that they seem like they are not in tune to the crowd…and the crowd seems to be yearning for an environment that will make them enjoy the night. (I’m sure this must have just been an off night for me – so check it out for yourself)
I ordered a vodka and organge for $12…thank goodness i had a couple of drinks before i got there…ha haa….anyway..this spot will turn out to be a ballers spot. I did spot a Bentley and a couple of luxury cars outside. There’s a need for venues up in Harlem…hopefully this one doesn’t get played out.
Club Body has been around for a couple of months now. The place is very nice, has an upscale vibe to it.
For my first time there in may’08 Club Body was wack not my crowd nice venue thou….. better luck next time!!!!!
Club Body is actually the next stop on my list. My girls are raving about it. Im told it is off the hook…. I been caught up so I havent had a chance to experience it yet but I plan to go next Thursday cause Im looking for that HIPHOP & R&B crowd. I have however peeped the website and that alone was very nice so Im looking forward to visiting Club Body.

the club is nice; the music was off the hook on the 2nd floor but its mostly spanish music and i agree with even the ugly women looking fly too bad i cant say that for the men. i saw a few ballers but toooo many women. if u dont like it u go next door to the next club or next to that to hudson river cafe.
Body is ok, girls were good no complaints on that but, they need to work on the people they’re letting in there. We can’t forget that as much as we’re all out to have a good time, most of the people in the club are either from uptown or near by downtown so trust me the weapons are very close by. Its not the same going downtown packing heat, to staying local packing ur heat.
And I agree they don’t even have a website to go to. Very un professional at the level they’re in.. Hey they came this far to opening up a hot spot what does it cost to just set up ur page??? And trust me I’m not hatin’, It’s just NUT’N BUT DA TRUTH til’ next time u will hear from me again…

Hey nut’n but da truth, you should check your facts before you go on and tell people something. Body in fact not only has a website established but HAS HAD it from March. It is quite simple in fact- bodynewyorkcity.com-. Any simpleton with basic computer skills could have found it. Why not ask someone who works there? Hmmmm so much for da truth, sad.
I Must admit I’ve been to CLUB BODY several times, the place looks great, the atmosphere/vibe, the music, the girls all are great! But the Service Sucks! Perhaps because its in Harlem, but they need to really invest in placing an add and getting some real talent and employees that know what they are doing.. ON a positive note I went to the ALL White Party a few weeks ago and it was off the hook!!! Girls were banging!!!
I was thinking about going this coming friday, but I’m not 21…will I be able to get in?
