CHALLENGE standards of thinking:
- explanation of how you can save the world, and/OR how we screwed up the world in the first place
- views and thoughts on the war in Iraq
- discussion of micro-finance in bangladesh
- proposal of what will become of tibet
- opinion of which direction fashion is headed in light of the economic recession

SUBMISSION FEES are $9 for short films …. $20 for one hour or more with all proceeds going to chashama non-profit arts organization, that continues to provide opportunities for artists of all types. We will only accept original films. Accepted forms of payment are cash, cheques, and paypal. We regret that we cannot return any materials.

Selected finalists will be featured on our website, and will be judged by a panel of industry professionals. There will also be a vote at the festival on the last day of public screenings (June 1st). The winner will receive $217, great exposure at chashama theater, and the director will be interviewed by a special guest (to be announced).

FESTIVAL DATES

The top ten films will be publicly screened over three days, May 30 – June 1, 2008, at chashama’s flagship space, 217 East 42nd Street in New York. Tickets for the screenings will be available for purchase online or by phone beginning May 16th.
