Jazzmobile 2008
Jazzmobile Inc. will host the 5th Annual Jazzmobile Vocal Competition scheduled to take place May 30 – June 19, 2008Jazz singers, who want to join in the fun and compete to become “the best of the best,” are invited to audition for the competition. Auditions will be held Monday, May 5, 2008 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Harlem School of the Arts, located at 647 St. Nicholas Avenue, New York, NY 10030 (between 141st &145th Street).
Twelve singers will be selected as finalists to compete in the May 30th competition at Sweet Rhythms, at the June 12th competition at the Alhambra Ballroom, and at the Finals at the River Room Restaurant on June 19.
The first place winner will receive the Jazzy Vocal Award, a $2,000 “cash” award, and will be featured during Jazzmobile’s Summer Festival. The first runner-up will receive $1,000.
