Tony Watch: HSA Alumni Gets Tony Nod

Passing Strange has been nominated for 7 Tony awards! Among the cast members is a Harlem School of the Arts alumni member, De’Adre Aziza.
De’Adre began taking classes at HSA in 1981 and continued until 1992. She took everything – theater, dance, music and even art classes.
Be sure to watch the TONY Awards airing this Sunday on CBS at 8pm and cross your fingers for De’Adre to win!

I loved the play but not sure why she was nominated. I think the other girl was better and much prettier. She’s ok, i guess.
she looks like a drag queen. The other cast member is wayyyyy prettier .. but then again this one is FUGLY.. I saw the play and I don’t really remember her..
