Slipped Under the Radar

Here are a few items that slipped under my radar recently:
Avalon Morningside Apartments being advertised as luxury rentals on the Upper West Side adjacent to Morningside Park. Just happened to see an ad above one of the web pages and curiosity got the best of me.
Yet, another Starbucks to open on 125th Street just a block from the Harlem flagship location. That now gives us a grand total of 9 locations above 96th Street (five are on Broadway.)
Soul Train was recently sold and will be rebranded by a company called MadVision.
Racked reports that Kimora Lee Simmons Baby Phat store will be opening a new location on 125th Street.

Map on the link is wrong – location will be at 125th and 7th ave. Still only 2 avenues from the 5th ave store. Yet no more ridiculous than 3 dunkin donuts franchises on 145th btwn St Nicholas and Lenox.
