Once again, Hamilton Heights has been deemed the noisiest neighborhood in Manhattan  An annual study  found that 5,700 noise complaints were logged to 311.  Last year, Operation Silent Night resulted in 56,000 tickets and about 3,500 busts in four years due to noisy neighbors in the area.

The statistics date from July 1, 2007, when the city introduced a tough new noise code that covered more noisemakers and raised fines. The Daily News says noise complaints jumped 8 percent citywide to nearly 295,000 — most of them about loud neighbors.

After Hamilton Heights, Williamsburg, Brooklyn had the second most number of complaints, followed by Flatbush, Fordham and Washington Heights.
