    Many young African American college students and professionals are making a difference today through the Impact Movement.

    The Impact Movement is answering the call and the cry of the African American community for sound moral leadership. Impact chapters are located on more than 100 university campuses.

    Impact staff and students volunteer at local schools giving back to the Black community.

    More young people need to hear about The Impact Movement and the difference these young people are making.

    Re: Your “reclaiming the dream” program
    The children in the Kansas City Missouri inner city public schools, mostly 5th graders, are learning to relate to members of the opposite gender in a positive and constructive manner through in school ballroom dance lessons. The young gentlemen are taught how to be responsible for their partners and both partners learn opposite gender teamwork and mutual respect. We are hoping this will lay a positive foundation for responsible, respectful relationships as the children mature into adults.
    I noticed on your “reclaiming the dream” program, the panelists discussed how inner city school children need to be mentored, which is what we are doing. All schools should have such a program.
