Ain’t Supposed to Die a Natural Death
Ain’t Supposed to Die a Natural Death, a totally unique fiction form, is a gutsy, lusty politically-outspoken narrative of African American street life that explores inner-city agony. Peopled by junkies, crooked cops, prisoners, lovers and dreamers, Van Peebles’ play is considered a tradition-shattering and trend-setting work which spawned the choreo-poem, spoken word and rap music.

Damn!!
I have an event on July 29 and guests in town August 1 – 4.
And, I sooo know I probably won’t make it up to the Bronx at 8pm on a Saturday night. Too far. (When I first moved to New York, I was exciting about taking the train any distance, now I stick to one or two lines because I’ve kinda settled into set patterns.) Anyway, whatever, I’m rambling …
Just wanted to say THANKS for posting about this. It sounds really interesting.
