Letter from the Editor: New feature on the site

Hi Readers:

Just a quick note to let you know that our host, WordPress, has added a new feature that gives us the option to keep a post at the top of the page.  We will be experimenting with this new feature in the coming weeks.  I’m thinking that the best way to use it is for keeping the  ’hot topics’ on the front burner.  Another way we’ll be using it is to feature breaking news stories, editorials, features, and profiles.  The possibilities are limitless!

So, this week I’ve featured the tribute to Scotty Scott, the young teen that was shot over the weekend.  Each week, a new post will be featured at the top of the page.  This doesn’t have any effect on the RSS feed and the most up-to-date posts will still be shown.
