On Saturday October 4th, the Harlem Rose Garden will have a plant giveaway. There are mostly day lilies which gardeners can dig up themselves (trowels, shovels, and plastic bags provided). There will also be a very limited amount of shrubs and perennial columbines available on first come/first serve basis, and possibly bulbs from Green Guerillas.     

A flyer on planting perennials will be handed out, and Harlem Rose Garden worker Carolyn Schaefer will be there for any questions. Flyers for the Fall 2008 Compost Givebacks with directions will also be available.

The Harlem Rose Garden is at 6 East 129th Street between Fifth and Madison avenues (2/3 train to 125th, or 4/5/6 to 125th).
