Ready, Set, Shop– in Harlem!

In just a few short days, Shop for Public Schools 2008 will kick off, and Harlem retailers are well-represented in the program! From October 1 through October 8, you can shop at some of Harlem’s greatest stores, and a portion of your purchase will be donated to The Fund for Public Schools. That means the more you shop, the more our merchants will contribute to public school libraries.

This year’s participating Harlem merchants include:

Harlem stores are also hosting two events during Shop for Public Schools Week:

• Make My Cake (121 St. Nicholas Avenue) is hosting a Make-Your-Own Cupcake Party on Monday, October 6, from 1-5pm. For details, visit the store or call (212) 932-0833.
