New: Mojo Harlem
Mike of Greasy Guide tips us off about a new spot in the upper one teens called Mojo. He says it is right down the street from Billie’s Black and Moca Lounge. This once foresaken section surrounding 8th Avenue is starting to revitalize with Mr. Lee giving his tiny bakery a delicious face lift and other new businesses cropping up like Just Wingin’ It.
And while, mainstream media is declaring ViVa the new restaurant row, local bloggers Harlem Condo Life seem prefer to think that FDB might be the new ‘it’ spot in Harlem. Still, New York Magazine questions whether Harlem’s restaurants are even worthy of Frank Bruni’s ratings? What do you think?

There is another spot opening up called Mojo’s. It’s on the Corner of
119th. It has an Asian [influenced] feel to the bar area.http://mojo-harlem.com (coming soon)

Thanks Nicole.
Mojo is on St. Nick’s not 8th Ave.
Yeah the spot is cute and seems to have some type of asian or budda theme going on. I don’t know it they are open for business just yet but it looks cute for the area. There are now so many more places in Harlem to go these days..it’s fantastic!
Nice. Looks like 8th Ave in the one teens and the Harlem Pier area are becoming quite the powerhouses of trendy new spots. I’m loving it!
