During the time of celebration of miracles and spiritual awakening, we remember those in need. The owners of 1209 Enterprises, Frank Waters and Henry Nelson, Jr. are sponsoring a Harlem Holiday Expo in coordination with Windows Over Harlem Restaurant, 163 West 125^th Street (3^rd Floor), Adam Clayton Powell State Office Building. The adult admission is $12.09 and children will donate a new, unwrapped toy for admission. These toys will be donated to “Pals for Christ”, a not-for-profit organization that provides Holiday gifts to children of prison inmates of any faith. This all day even, held on Saturday, December 13, 2008, is open to all; as the Expo will celebrate Christmas, Kwanzaa, Chanukah and Three Kings.

“Pals for Christ” is an organization that provides a network of support to those who have been impacted by incarceration. They reach out to inmates, from NYC and NYS prisons, through prayer, group counseling, transitional mentoring for newly released inmates, counseling for those affected by drug addiction, and provides field trips, sporting events and toy donations for the inmates’ children. Their goal is to help break the cycle of incarceration and keep families from being destroyed by imprisonment. Henry Nelson, Vice President of 1209 Enterprise volunteers with “Pals for Christ” was inspired by the toy donations last year. “We donated, received and wrapped toys to give at a small gathering for the children and their guardians. We delivered the toys to those children who were unable to attend the event. This year, the 1209 Enterprise has offered to collect donated toys for “Pals for Christ”. The 1209 Enterprise has also graciously offered to upgrade their existing website free of charge.

This 1^stannual Harlem Holiday Expo has something for everyone. There will be children activities, workshops, caroling, special performances, food, plenty of vendors and shopping opportunities. And as a special treat for the entrepreneurs, 1209 Enterprise will hold a 1209 Affair business networking session from 6 – 8 pm.

1209 Enterprise is an organization started with the intention of providing high quality professional business services to newly started and small businesses. These services, which are offered only to its members, range from the very basic business needs such as printing and design to financial services. 1209 Enterprises also hosts hugely successful corporate networking events, which are called the 1209 Affair. These networking events were designed to allow all of 1209 Enterprise members to create long lasting and successful business relations.
