In my travels through Harlem I noticed a couple of businesses seem to be shuttered. I mentioned the new-ish juice bar below back in October which is now all packed up. 
I also noticed that Butterfly Blue was shuttered possibly due to a fire. I never got up there to try their food, but check out the video review.

We can add the Flash Inn to the list of Harlem business closings.
I was wondering how House of Soles was faring. I have to remove them from the links now that I know they are gone. I think it took them longer to move in than they were in business. So sad. The Shoe Boutique on 7th Avenue seems to be doing pretty well though. I think they have their own private clientele and the online component as well. We’ll see how ’09 pans out for our small businesses.
And that shoe boutique on St. Nick and 124th! I guess being next to the Nine West Outlet isn’t the best spot for a shoe store.
Also For Your Sole, that shoe store that relocated from Brooklyn to the corner of 124th and St. Nick is gone. Awning remains, but the store is bare. Too bad, they used to have good cocktail parties on Thursdays.
