Update: Cheesesteak Factory in Harlem

Back in September we spotted the first vestiges of construction for what will be Harlem’s first and possibly only official Cheesesteak Factory hidden under the scaffolding on the corner of 145th Street and Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. Boulevard. Yeah, sure the guy down at the local deli can make a mean cheesesteak on request but why settle for a deli cheesesteak when you can have the real deal delivered to your door.
I popped by the new Cheesesteak Factory the other day and the owner happened to be at the door greeting eager potential customers that saw the paper had come down from the windows. Everyone had one question on their lips: “When are you opening?”
As it turns out the store will officially open for business on January 22nd. I picked up a menu and true to their slogan “We Ain’t Just Cheesesteaks” CF offers more than just meat and cheese on a roll.
CF will also offer sandwiches, breakfast, lo-carb platters, wraps, salads, Angus burgers, ribs, and even wings and other appetizers. Cheesesteaks start at $6.95 and salads start at $7.75. Delivery is with a $10 minimum order.
CF will be open 7 days a week from 8:30 AM to 12:30 AM Sunday through Wednesdays and 8:30 AM to 2:30 AM Thursdays through Saturdays.

I was there today 1/23 and they are waiting for Inspection clearance before they can open.

This is great news. I’m sure the restaurant will be a success and the block will never be the same again. The deli down the block should be happy because more business will be attracted into the area as a result of this new restaurant.
Congrats, Moe on the restaurant I am proud of you. I won’t be able to make the grand opening since it is during a weekday, but I will make sure I drive up soon. I might just come up for a day since I have a lot on my plate.
