Jazzmobile Jazz Vocal Competition 2009
Jazzmobile Inc. will host the sixth annual “Jazzmobile Vocal Competition” scheduled to take place July 27th. Jazz singers, who want to join in the fun and compete to become “the best of the best,” are invited to audition to be a part of the competition.
Auditions will be held Thursday, July 2, 2009 3:00 PM- 8:00 PM at the Harlem School of the Arts, 647 St. Nicholas Avenue, NY, NY 10030 (between 141st & 145th Streets).
After a successful audition, the top scorers are chosen to showcase their talents before a live audience at Uptown Harlem, 2110 Lenox Avenue (between 125th & 126th Streets) on Monday, July 27th. Winners are selected by a panel of industry professional judges.
The 1st place winner will receive the “Jazzy Vocal Award,” $2000 “cash” award and be featured during “Jazzmobile’s Summer Festival,”. The First Runner-up will receive $1000.
