While I haven’t been down on ‘the row’ to try out the seafood offerings of the new Harlem restaurant Questan’s, word has trickled our way that they are now open for business. Have you been?  How was it?  Read reviews of  Questan’s below:

I went there for drinks and appetizers last Tuesday.

The atmosphere was a cool and young vibe. There was a DJ and the service was EXCELLENT! The drinks were $5 each and pretty strong.

The appetizers were OK. We had the buffalo wings and calamari. The calamari would use some seasoning as well as the marinara (which we thought was just plain crushed tomatoes).

The place was crowded and a good time was had by all! I’ll be back for dinner!

strong drinks? for $5? Are You Kidding Me? If this is true – this alone will go for miles. I am so tired of these various spots charing me $10 – $13 for so-so drinks. Look – here’s the deal. Harlem spots need to be encouraged with feedback. It’s okay to open your doors and need some fine tuning here and there. Especially when you are dealing with a challenging faire (seafood). I’ve never been to this place however will give it lots of chances – if they are right w/the drinks. When Mocha (downt the street) opened – I went with a friend who did not drink alcohol. Mocha charged me $12 for my drink, and $12 for a non-alcoholic drink, a basic class of Coca-Cola in ice. I am not kidding. They said that’s their policy. This was 6 years ago, I have never spent another cent in MOCHA since that experience – it was too exploitive! You can screw up a Seafood dish, but it’s hard to screw up a Gin & Juice, a Vodka Tonic. Let me have 2 drinks for $10 before my dish arrives and hell…am I not loosened and feeling very liberal with my culinary critique? $5 drinks – Smart Business.

The address is right on the awning.

Do is right…the information is clearly visible on the awning as well as listed in the links provided. Often we are uploading on the go. A quick Google search will often help you fill in the blanks friends.

had the fried whiting sandwich from the express counter for $5, generous fish, good salt/ground pepper seasoning, on wheat bread. just what I needed! very nice people there. oddly, got ketchup and tartar sauce but no hot sauce with the take-out. perhaps hot sauce only upon request? eager to try the grilled scallops.
