The Harlem CARES Mentoring Movement and Harlem World Magazine presents An Evening of Grace and Thanksgiving – a memorable evening of celebration. Susan L. Taylor, Editor-In-Chief Emeritus of Essence magazine and Founder of the National CARES Mentoring Movement will deliver a Thanksgiving address about the healing power of gratitude and creating joy and peace in our lives and community.

Evening of Grace

Hosted by NAACP Image Award-winning actor Malik Yoba, star of ABC‘s“Defying Gravity,” the evening features singer Maya Azucena, DJ Shogun, a special performance by the Mt. Pleasant Community Church Choir; and other outstanding acts.

The evening is also a tribute to the achievements of Mt. Pleasant Christian Academy. Founder and principal, Dr. Charles D. Eatman, who opened the school in 1982, will receive the Trailblazer Award.

VIP tickets are $75 each, with 100 percent of the net proceeds benefiting Mt. Pleasant Christian Academy. A donation of $20.00 per person offers a general admission ticket to the performance and a post performance dessert reception hosted by Tonnie’s Minis. Advance ticket sales only.
